Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade Background: Marcus Brody was a member of an extremely affluent and prominent family in England. Marcus Brody was raised in London, England. While studying in higher education, Marcus Brody attended Princeton while winning a boxing title. Eventually, Marcus Brody transferred to Oxford University in England and met a fellow student named Henry Jones Sr.

After graduating with honors, Marcus Brody accompanied Henry Jones Sr to the United States of America. At different times, Marcus Brody worked as a professor lecturer at several distinguished universities and was involved in certain archaeological digs. Moreover, Marcus Brody became close friends with Henry Jones Jr and in 1913 Marcus Brody and the young Indiana Jones worked in Egypt where they eventually located the Ring of Osiris.

In the year 1939, Marcus Brody told Indy Jones to be on the look out for valuable artifacts while Indiana Jones was searching for the Staff of Kings. Later on in the year, Marcus Brody retired as the National Museum curator and took the job of the Dean of Students at Marshall College. Marcus Brody kept this profession until 1944. In the year 1947, Marcus Brody and Indy Jones traveled to Berlin, Germany in the hopes they would find the Philosopher's Stone.
